NAMI Member Randy Bosin of Maryland Offers Proposal for Reforming Social Security's "Ticket to Work" Program

July 2004

SSI and SSDI beneficiaries with mental illness continue to be frustrated in their effort to use the 1999 Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act (TWWIIA) to leave the disability rolls and enter the workforce. NAMI member and consumer Randy Bosin has developed his own proposal for fixing the "Ticket" program and more fundamentally addressing the inequities in SSA's disability programs.
