Stephen H. Feinstein, Ph.D., President

Stephen H. Feinstein, Ph.D., came to the National board by way of NAMI Kansas, where he served five years as President. During that period he served as Chair of the NAMI State Presidents’ Council.  Stephen is an Experimental Psychologist by training and has worked as a behavioral scientist, state government executive, and consultant in both the private and the public sectors. He was Superintendent of state psychiatric hospitals in Oregon and Kansas.

Stephen earned his baccalaureate and Master of Science degrees from Florida State University and his doctorate from Dalhousie University.  He is now retired and lives with his wife and their much-loved Paso Fino horse in Louisburg, Kansas.
