New National Latino Consumer Network Welcomes Participants

Recovery for All
May 2010

Recognizing the crucial role individuals in recovery play in transforming America’s mental health systems and the urgent need to improve access and quality of care for Latinos, the National Latino Behavioral Health Association (NLBHA) and Tenemos Voz New Mexico have joined forces to create the Tenemos Voz National Latino Consumer Network.

Tenemos Voz, which translates to “we have a voice”, is an all-inclusive network of empowered Latinos that promotes the holistic principles of health and wellness in recovery through equal access to quality treatment. The network accomplishes its mission through advocacy, education, prevention, intervention and support.

Tenemos Voz is open to all Latinos who have lived with mental health challenges and embrace recovery. It welcomes Latinos who are willing to join forces to make their voices be heard.

If you enjoy working with and learning from your peers and want to help Tenemos Voz have a positive impact in addressing the needs of the Latino community, join today!

Tenemos Voz meets once a month via teleconference. For more information or to join the network, e-mail tenemosvoz@nlbha.org.

¡Juntos podemos!
