How do I become a mentor?
Mentors are the heart and soul of the program- without skilled mentors, there would be no Peer to Peer!
Although most mentors have been through the course, this is not a prerequisite.
Mentors should have an active treatment plan, be comfortable reading aloud to a group of students, and be willing and able to undergo an intensive three-day training, among other qualifications.
To get involved, please contact your state or local NAMI office!
How do I start the program in my area?
