Deadline: Submit Your Comments on the Proposed Medicaid Rule Before Friday!

October 10, 2007

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have issued  proposed rules on the Medicaid Rehabilitation Services option.  The Rehabilitation Services option is the most important funding source of services for people with mental illness such as assertive community treatment (ACT), multi-systemic therapy for children and adolescents (MST), and other important evidence-based services.  NAMI is concerned that the proposed rules will have a negative impact on the ability of states to pay for these services.

Send Your Comments Today

This Friday, October 12this the deadline for submitting comments on the proposed Medicaid rule that would threaten rehabilitative services.

Follow these instructions on how to voice your concerns to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. At this link, you will find the necessary contact information, as well as sample comments. You will have the greatest impact when you share your own experiences about how these regulations will affect your family and community.
