The Washington Post recently exposed poor, disgraceful conditions at the Army’s Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, the biggest military hospital in the United States.
Many soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is a treatable mental illness. If you can get the right treatment. Over the past six months, the Pentagon's new Mental Health Task Force has been visiting bases around the country to determine if troops are getting the help they need. Its report is due in May.
