Cooking Tips

In today's world, it is easy to find healthy substitutes to some of the ingredients of your favorite recipes. For example, it's as easy as using fat-free milk instead of whole milk in some cases. Although these changes may seem small, the effects will be great. Visit the Mayo Clinic's Web site for more information on healthy changes to your diet.

If you are cooking for just yourself, don't waste food and money by making more than you can eat unless you have a plan. Leftovers are always a great option for the next day's lunch, but be careful as it can also lead to overeating. A good strategy is to pack any leftovers in individual serving sizes and freeze them. You'll be glad you did on an evening when you just don't feel like cooking!

There are multiple Web sites offering heart healthy recipes.
