Fighting Stigma

Lorraine and Eli Kaplan of NAMI Queens/Nassau appeared on NBC’s TODAY Show to speak about how their son's struggle with schizophrenia brought them to NAMI after ten years of silence.

Lorraine is director of educational outreach of NAMI Queens/Nassau's Breaking the Silence curriculum, which is used in schools to educate about mental illness and fight stigma.
