at NAMI "Time for Hope" Benefit Concert
The Ryman Auditorium
Thursday, January 13, 7:30 PM
Nashville — Grammy Award-winning country music superstar Clint Black will perform at a special benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium on January 13, NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) announced today, as part of its nationwide Campaign for the Mind of America. The event will also feature an opening performance by Little Big Town and a celebrity auction. Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 3 through Ticketmaster and the Ryman box office.
"NAMI stands for dignity, hope, and recovery, and I stand with them," Black said.
"One out of five Americans will be touched by mental illness at some point in their lives. NAMI is about science, education, support and advocacy dedicated to helping individuals and families so that they don’t stand alone. I ask others to join me in sponsoring this event. It will mark NAMI’s 25th Anniversary. It will be a time for celebration—and a time for hope."
Foundations Associates has joined as the title sponsor of the event.
"We are proud to join Clint in supporting the nation’s leading grassroots organization dedicated to helping people with severe mental illnesses, fighting stigma, and seeking better mental health care systems in communities," said Michael Cartwright, President, Foundations Associates.
Additional underwriter, gold, silver, bronze, and in-kind sponsorships are being solicited for the event. NAMI is a non-profit organization which has been rated among the Top 100 Charities by WORTH magazine and is the recipient of a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
Tickets are available beginning at 10am December 3 through all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 615-255-9600 or through the Ryman box office, www.Ryman.com.
