Thank you for remembering our sister Corinne and for considering a donation to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness. Our family has created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to us.
Corinne had a strong faith and was active in professional and volunteer advocacy groups with a particular emphasis on seeking support to remove the stigma of mental illness, and in seeking for those stricken with the disease avenues for purposeful re-integration into society.
Donating through this page is easy, fast and secure (see the link, below). It is important to note on your donation that the funds go to NAMI FaithNet. It is a network composed of members and friends of NAMI and was established for the purposes of 1) facilitating the developments within the faith community of a non-threatening, supportive environment for those with mental illness and their families, 2) pointing out the value of one's spirituality in the recovery process from mental illness and the need for spiritual strength for those who are caretakers, 3) educating clergy and faith communities concerning mental illness, and 4) encouraging advocacy of the faith community to bring about hope and help for all who are affected by mental illness. NAMI FaithNet is not itself a religious network. It is an outreach to all religious organizations.
You can also mail donations to: NAMI, 3803 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA, 22203 *Be sure to note on your check memo NAMI FaithNet.*
Both NAMI and Corinne's family appreciate your donation.
Thank you for your support.
