  •  Peer Connections

NAMI Connections, a peer Support Group Program, is a 90-minute support group

run by persons who live with mental illness. The program includes NAMI trained peer

facilitators and employs principles of support designed to empower its members.

This program focuses on allowing all participants to share their experiences and

learn from each other in a safe and confidential environment. NAMI Connections

is not illness-specific, and welcomes persons with all psychiatric diagnoses.

NAMI Geauga's Connections group meets from 1:30 to 3:00pm on the

2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month  The Murray Center,

208 N. Hambden St., Chardon OH  (just east of the city square) on rt. 6)

Our membershiip meetings are business meetings open to the public and

are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at:

  • Family to Family

This spring we presented our third Family to Family Class. 

The course and all materials are free. Registration is required.

The class meets for 12 weeks at the Geauga Board of Mental Health

and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Rd. Chardon, OH 44024.

Family to Family classes are  open to all who

have a family member suffering with a mental illness.

like to be added to our next class. Classes fill fast. 


  • Hand to Hand

Hand-to-Hand classes are for parents of children diagnosed with a

mental disorder, including (but not restricted to) ADD and ADHD.

Classes are held for 9 weeks at the Geauga Board of Mental Health

and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Rd. Chardon, OH 44024.

Hand-to-Hand classes are  open to all who

have a child struggling with a mental/emotional illness.

like to be added to our next class. Classes fill fast. 

Our next Hand-to-Hand class begins on October 20th, 2008 at 7pm

Although you will miss class 1 and 2, you can register until Oct. 31st.
