NAMI PA, Main Line is a grassroots, nonprofit organization of persons with mental illness, their families and friends, dedicated to improving the quality of life of all those affected by mental illness through support, advocacy and education.  Examples of severe mental illnesses include biologically-based brain disorders such as psychotic disorders (e.g. schizophrenia), mood disorders  (e.g. bipolar disorder and major depression), and anxiety disorders (e.g. obsessive-compulsive disorder).
