NAMI Tulare County is a grass-roots organization of individuals with mental illness (consumers) as well as their families and friends that can come together to help other consumers, families, and their friends.  NAMI Tulare County is one of thousands of local affiliates nationwide.  Mental illness is a brain disorder that includes depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, ....

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  NAMI Walks 2009

Preparations are under way for NAMI Walks 2009.  NAMI Tulare County is joining with NAMI Fresno again this year and will need volunteers to serve on the following committees and will work with NAMI Fresno:

Activities - 2  (Children's Area, Raffle, Photographer(s), Videographer(s)

Business Sponsorship - 2; Entertainment - 3; Food/Water/BBQ - 3; Day of Walk - 5; Set-Up/Decorations - 4; Clean-up -5.  We need 24 volunteers in all.

If you are interested in helping (and this is a really FUN thing to do), please respond to Paul Sherrod, Walk Coordinator.

The support group meets the first Monday of every month at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Guild Room, 120 N. Hall St., Visalia.  Everyone is welcome.  If the first Monday of the month is a holiday, then the meeting is moved to the second Monday.
