NAMI’s Singin’ Scientist: Teaching the World to Sing

May 7, 2008

Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D.—the "Singin’ Scientist" for brain research who has appeared at many NAMI conventions—has been named by TIME Magazine as one of "the world’s 100 most influential people" as a scientist and thinker. Her photo is on the cover of the magazine—inside the center of the M. The designation is the result of her talk earlier this year at a TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference, dedicated to spreading worthwhile ideas. Other people on the list include Hillary Clinton, Steve Jobs, and Bruce Springsteen. Dr. Jill served on the NAMI national board from 1994-1997 and is currently president of NAMI Indiana’s Greater Bloomington affiliate.
