National Dialogue

A Nation Sets Its Sights on Mental Health

A National Dialogue on Mental Health began in June 2013, led by the Obama Administration and aided by mental health organizations and community champions across America—including NAMI. After 30 years of advocacy, we now sit on the precipice of sweeping changes to our nation's health care system. NAMI continues to address the needs in every community for improved mental health care, fighting stigma to facilitate a better understanding about how mental health affects everyone and making sure the people who are affected by mental illness can get the support they need.
