We're now gearing up for NAMIWalks 2009. Our date (always the first Saturday in October) this year is Saturday, October 3, 2009.
Now is the time to register yourself and your team!
The KOL (Kick Off Luncheon) this year will be held on Thursday, August 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston. More details closer to the event.
Vicki Adams, (Pictured at right) Team Captain for the A Team, also heads up our recycling effort at the Walk. She is one of many volunteers it takes to pull off a successful Walk. We appreciate her dedication and support to the Walk and folks with mental illness.
The purpose of the Walk is to raise funds to support individuals and families affected by mental illness AND work on eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Funds raised for the Walk benefit NAMI IOWA (state) and its affiliates (local).
There is no registration fee.
Individual walkers are welcome to register. Every walker that raises at least $100 will be awarded a NAMIWalks T-shirt.
