Join us for our 4th annual NAMIWalks Chicago!
Start a team for your family and friends or business. Take a walk alongside Chicago's beautiful lakefront with us. Sponsor the Walk through donations of cash or goods and services. Above all, join us in spreading awareness to help stop the stigma surrounding mental illness in the greater Chicago area!
Beyond spreading awareness, this walk supports the vital services of NAMI of Greater Chicago, all available to the public free of charge. NAMI of Greater Chicago offers a referral hotline, informational publications, family and consumer support group meetings, a training program for Chicago Police Officers, and educational meetings and programs including a speaker’s bureau, a family education course, a consumer education course, and more! How do I join NAMIWalks Chicago 2009?
See the links on the right hand side to register as a walker, create a team, or to make a donation to NAMIWalks Chicago. After you have registered, start asking friends, coworkers, family, neighbors, or anyone else to sponsor you... or better yet, invite them to join!
On the day of the Walk, all walkers must stop at the registration tent to check-in and sign a waiver. Also, all walkers that raise $100 or more will receive a NAMIWalks Chicago 2009 T-shirt, so don't forget to visit the registration tent to redeem your prize!
