Our 2009 Austin NAMI Walk was a HUGE success with close to 1,500 walkers participating! We have finished processing our "offline" donations turned in on Walk Day, and with these amounts added, our current fundraising total now stands at $151,036!!
NAMI Austin would like to thank all the amazing people who made our 2009 Walk possible – our 40 sponsors who provided early donations to get our Walk campaign started, our 80 team captains who provided great leadership to their teams, both large and small, and our enthusiastic walkers who collected donations on our behalf from more than 2,000 individuals all across the country.
Your efforts have helped us to exceed our fundraising goal by more than $25,000!!
Special thanks goes to Andrea Hunt and my Walk Committee for their time, energy and dedication during the many months of "behind the scenes" planning, and to all of our wonderful volunteers who turned out to help us on Walk Day.
Online Fundraising The NAMIWalks website will continue to accept credit card donations through December 9th. During this period we will also continue to accept donations by check.
Offline Donations Now is the time to turn in any additional "offline" donations that you have collected. Checks should be made payable to "NAMI Austin" with "NAMIWalks" added to the memo line. Please mail donations to:
