Watch for a new face to the NAMIWalks website. In May 2012, NAMI will be launching a new and improved, user-friendly website for all your walk updates. However, we will NOT BE ABLE to accept online donations, and Walkers and Team Captains will NOT BE ABLE to register, until the new site is up! In the meantime, we will be using our "old" website platform only to post Sponsors and to provide Walk information. Please view this site for more information.
Our Sponsorship Campaign is NOW in effect!! It's time to reach out to your employers, doctors, pharmacist, and friends to SPONSOR the 7th annual NAMIWalk!! Nobody can do Everything ~ But Everyone can do Something.
PLEASE JOIN US at our Team Captain Kick-Off Luncheon scheduled for Thursday, August 2, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Riverside Hotel, 2900 Chinden Blvd. in Garden City, Idaho, and learn more about our walk. The proceeds of NAMIWalks will be used to: 1) provide free education classes to families in the Treasure Valley; 2) facilitate support groups for people with mental illness and their families; 3) conduct an anti-stigma campaign; 4) advocate for improved education, employment, housing, and community services; and 5) promote resiliency and recovery for children and adults living with mental illnesses.
