NAMI Lexington

“Lunch, Learn, Launch" on Friday, August 14th was a successful and festive event featuring food (Hawaiian Theme provided by Cathy Vance and Saute Cafe), drink, prizes, and the very latest NAMIWalks Information, Resources, and Technical “How-To”!! Blair Young from NAMI National and NAMI Lexington's very own Carolyn Colliver shared inspirational team building and motivational information. NAMI Lexington staff and volunteers even helped folks get online right at the event - assisting Cathy Epperson in adding the NAMI KY team and assisting Jim Dailey in adding the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) walk team.

We are gaining momentum now with less than 2 months until the Walk - In the last seven days we have very nearly doubled our numbers across the board - Teams registered online, Walkers registered online, Walkers with personal pages, and Donations received online!!
With less than 60 days before the walk and only 24% of our goal accomplished, we still have a long way to go! Let us know how we can help!

• Thanks to you and the tireless efforts of all the Team Captains and volunteers, over 6,500 walkers have participated in the walks hosted by NAMI Lexington since 2005.
• In addition to providing funds for affiliates to further their NAMI Mission, the Walk continues to excel in raising public awareness around mental health issues.

Through a generous “Revenue Sharing Plan” - the walk hosted by NAMI Lexington has returned over $50,000 to numerous other local affiliates in Kentucky.
