Welcome to team, “Love Our Brothers”!! I am very excited that you have made the decision to dedicate your time and love, to the individuals and families living with Mental Illness. This decision helps to provide the much needed support, education and advocacy to all that are affected by these Illnesses. I realize that we are all very busy and sometimes we can forget just how very fortunate we really are. This is a time for us to pause and remember that mental illness doesn’t get the “option” to pause. We can stop and ask ourselves, “How can I give back what is so freely given to me?” We are going to do it people!! We are going to make a difference!!
Everyone’s ability to be a part of this change is different. We all bring different abilities to the table. Contributions can be made in the form of time, money, baby sitting on walk day, sending out emails to friends, coworkers and family or even just the emotional support and encouragement to those who will walk on October 1, 2011.
I cannot even begin to thank you enough for your contribution to this amazing event!

In 2012, tens of thousands of concerned citizens in more than 83 communities across the nation will join NAMI and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.
