A message from Christina:

Welcome to my personal web page for NAMIWalks for the Mind of America. I have created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to me.

Mental Illness is a serious one that runs in my family, I have been diagnosed with both depression and bipolar disorder, and lost quite a few family members as a result of untreated depression and many others.

Both NAMI and I appreciate your donation. Thank you for your support.

This is my beautiful stepsister, Michelle Renee Deane. She died on July 22, 2007, at the very young age of 18 years, as a result of suicide. I hold her dearly in my heart, and am hoping to gain a sense of peace, acceptance, and closure by committing to this fundraiser.

About NAMIWALKS:

Every journey begins with that first step. In 2009, thousands of concerned citizens in more than 79 communities across the nation will join NAMI and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.
