The sponsorship deadline for this event has passed
A message from Julie:
Welcome to my personal web page for NAMIWalks for the Mind of America. NAMI stands for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. I have created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to me.
To put it in perspective, 1 in 5 people in this country suffer with mental illness. It affects 1 in 4 families and more than 244,000 people in San Diego alone have a brain disorder.
These are staggering statistics and while there is no cure (yet) for mental illness there are highly effective treatments enabling people, like myself, to live well with a brain disorder. NAMI helps to make these vital treatments possible.
Donating through this page is easy, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Any amount will make a difference for NAMI, but please try to give generously.
Both NAMI and I appreciate your donation. Thank you for your support and please join us if you are in the area on the day of the walk--April 19, 2008, in Balboa Park. Look for my family (including a 105-lb golden retriever that you CAN'T miss!) and help make a difference with your feet and your donation.
Thanks so much, and I hope you have a good day.
