“Ask the Doctor” is now “NAMI’s Ask the Expert”
We're pleased to announce an exciting new change to our traditional Ask the Doctor webinar series. We have cast our doors wide open so we can benefit from a range of expert perspectives.
In each of the four webinars we'll hold in 2018, you'll hear new research, tips and suggestions, and take-home lessons from our renowned presenters. But you'll also get an added expert panel who will ask how the information presented relates to their areas of expertise and experiences.
Thursday March 1, 2018
3:30 PM – 5:00 PM ET
Held on International Self-Injury Awareness Day, this webinar will provide a unique insight into self-harm for those struggling with self-harm, their family members and medical professionals. Evidence-based techniques that can be used to provide support and reduce and eliminate self-harming behavior will also be discussed.
We are honored to have an international expert present our first Ask the Expert. Senator Joan Freeman is a psychologist from Ireland who has been a psychotherapist and founder and CEO of Pieta House (The Suicide and Self-Harm Crisis Centers). She is currently an Irish Senator, founder and CEO of Solace House (Suicide Prevention Center) in New York, and is the author of the best-selling book "Cover-up: Understanding Self-Harm."
Following the presentation, we will have questions and comments from experts Ken Norton (Executive Director NAMI New Hampshire), Tina Lee (Community Education and Outreach Manager, NAMI New York State), and NAMI’s Medical Director Dr. Ken Duckworth, who will facilitate the interactive Q&A session between our presenter, our panelists and you, our audience.
Registration space is limited and expected to fill quickly! Click here to register now!
We look forward to sharing and learning together on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 3:30 PM ET.
