As a part of the MTV Entertainment Group’s and the Biden-Harris Administration’s Mental Health Youth Action Forum, NAMI leaders today attended a White House event focused on youth mental health. Senior officials from the Administration, including from the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as singer, actress and mental health advocate Selena Gomez, all spoke during today’s livestreamed event in Washington, D.C.

Barb Solish, NAMI Director of Youth and Young Adult Initiatives, mentored a group of impressive young adults as they created a national storytelling campaign that they presented to the Administration as well as a diverse audience of media and technology professionals, government officials and non-profit executives.

NAMI’s participation in today’s White House event is part of the organization’s focus on addressing the youth mental health crisis in this country and getting people access to care early on.
