Free Webinar on Mental Health Caregivers

2/8/2017

Mental illness is not an isolated experience. It touches the lives of families and loved ones. In fact, an estimated 8.4 million Americans provide care to an adult living with a mental health condition.

NAMI and Mental Health America co-hosted a webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 14 called “Challenges and Solutions for Mental Health Caregivers.” The webinar, sponsored by SAMHSA, explored the critical role that caregivers play, as well as the barriers they see to services, supports and integration of care.

Listen to our robust discussion about the structural issues caregivers confront in the U.S. health care system including gaps in coverage. Based on two reports with responses from more than 2,000 caregivers, presenters offered compelling data, stories and solutions to empower caregivers and adults living with mental health conditions.
