Cheri Villa, M.P.A.

Chief Operating Officer

Cheri Villa, M.P.A. is the Chief Operating Officer of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. During her 20+ years as a nonprofit leader, she has served as Executive Director and in Executive Management roles for a number of human service organizations in Northern Virginia. Cheri has extensive experience effectively leading organizations through large scale change and growth.

She also has ample Board knowledge, serving as a Director for the Boys & Girls Club for Northern Virginia, the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington, Volunteer Fairfax, and the Prince William County Housing Board. Cheri has a Master’s in Public Administration from Florida State University, a Master’s in Political Science from George Mason University, as well as a Master’s Certification in Nonprofit Management. Additionally, Cheri is an adjunct professor at George Mason and teaches a course in Nonprofit Fundraising & Resource Development.
