Chief Information Officer
James Stewart is responsible for overall leadership and governance for cross-functional teams with a focus on information technology, data analytics, meetings and events, office services and employee engagement. With experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors along with a 10 year military service, Mr. Stewart brings a strong process-oriented formula for implementing solutions that scale to meet future organizational needs.
Prior to NAMI, Mr. Stewart provided strategic direction to teams of technical professionals at Covington & Burling LLP, an AM LAW 100 firm, where he architected and deployed enterprise platforms and applications. In addition to his technical experience, Mr. Stewart has improved business operations and efficiencies with the American Society of Military Comptrollers, the National Business Travel Association, and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) where he was responsible for creating and implementing new strategies designed to increase membership, education offerings, event attendance and office administration.
