During Susan's 20+ years as a nonprofit leader, she has focused her efforts in service of people who are too often disenfranchised—those living in poverty, recent immigrants, youth and the elderly and individuals affected by mental illness. Susan has worked in all areas of nonprofits, including direct service, research, fundraising, communications, technical assistance, program development and project management.
She is certified by Prosci as a Change Practitioner and by the Institute for Cultural Affairs in Group Facilitation. Susan holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Urban Policy from the New School for Public Engagement.
