He believes strongly in open communications and the power of storytelling to influence change. He spent the first part of his career as a journalist, including 14 years at USA TODAY as an assignment editor. During his time as a journalist, Glenn reported or edited stories on a variety of topics, including health, education, Congress, law enforcement, the courts and aviation. In 2014, he joined the American Psychiatric Association where he led the association’s Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Office was later named the Deputy Chief of Communications. Glenn is a native of North Carolina and an alumnus of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
