Lisa Lewis is a HR leader who has helped nonprofit organizations optimize and retain their high potential talent. Lisa has 20+ years of work experience in human resources management and worked in a variety of areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management. She has worked in the nonprofit sector both in the domestic and international market. Prior to NAMI, Lisa spent five years at Freedom House and 14 years at the Institute of International Education.
As a young girl, Lisa and her family lived in Tanzania and traveled extensively throughout East Africa.
She holds a B.A. in Journalism from East Carolina University.
What piece of your work at NAMI are you most proud of?
I am most proud of improving the employee benefits and services within my first six months. When our staff are happy, I’m happy!
What’s something about you that would surprise others?
At least once a year, I travel to somewhere I have never been before.
