Finance and Human Resources
Jessica Murnin believes it’s important to create a community that fosters open discussions about mental health, connects people to the mental health resources they need and provides support during their mental health journey so they know they’re not alone. She is a certified public accountant who holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Mary Washington.
To NAMI, she brings her experience working with various nonprofits from her former position as an auditor at a public accounting firm. She uses that experience to help strengthen financial processes, provide accurate accounting records and support other departments.
What do you wish more people knew about NAMI?
I wish people were more aware of all the ways NAMI’s efforts have impacted the lives of those they’re close to.
What’s something about you that would surprise others?
Most people would be surprised that I traveled to New Zealand by myself for my first major international trip.
