Sustained recovery involves learning about the illness and effective treatment, empowerment with the support of peers and family members and finally, helping others achieve wellness.
Most people diagnosed with a mental health condition can experience relief from their symptoms and live a satisfying life by actively participating in an individualized treatment plan.
An effective treatment plan may include medication, psychotherapy and peer support groups. A balanced diet, exercise and sleep can also play a big role in your mental health. Meaningful social opportunities, such as local drop in centers or clubhouses, and volunteer activities contribute to overall wellness and mental health recovery.
