NAMI Peer-to-Peer 09/01/2021 - 10/27/2021

September 1st till October 27th 2021 NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for treatment approaches. What You’ll Gain NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a safe, confidential space. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment. NAMI Peer-to-Peer helps you: • Set a vision and goals for the future • Partner with health care providers • Develop confidence for making decisions • Practice relaxation and stress reduction tools • Share your story • Strengthen relationships • Enhance communication skills • Learn about mental health treatment options What People Are Saying • “I am now aware that I’m not alone. Virtual meeting is scheduled for the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of every month, from 7 - 8:30 PM. To register, email us at with your name and phone number. A link to join ZOOM meeting will be emailed to you. You will only need to register once and then a reminder will be emailed to you prior to each meeting. The Zoom ID # and code remain the same for every meeting. NAMI Connection is a recovery support group exclusively for adults living with a mental health condition that provides a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope. The group is a peer-led support group (led by NAMI-trained facilitators who are in recovery themselves) who understand the daily challenges. The group is confidential-attendees may share as much or as little personal information as they wish.
