Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are pillars of tradition, honor, and pride, embodying adaptability and perseverance—values that align with mental wellness. At NAMI, we believe mental health is essential for success in college and beyond.
Through the NAMI HBCU Initiative, we invest in HBCUs by funding counseling departments to create tailored programs and activities helping campuses unite around the shared journey toward mental health and well-being. It reinforces a core principle of HBCUs: community.
Inspired by this spirit, NAMI On Campus empowers students to lead mental health awareness, advocate for resources, and organize activities to support mental health and well-being. Peer leadership drives change, fueled by the power of a united community. Start the movement at your college—launch a NAMI On Campus chapter today!
