What piece of your work at NAMI are you most proud of?

I am particularly proud to be co-author (with Val Hunter) of NAMI Smarts for Advocacy. I am inspired every time I hear people share their story in a powerful way to influence mental health care.

What’s something about you that would surprise others?

I lived in Japan as a child and again in college. I was strongly influenced by their art and culture of collaboration—and impressive and amusing array of school supplies.
