Jumoke Kolawole and her family fled for their lives and arrived in the U.S. with what they could fit in their suitcases. Having been torn away from her friends, family and home, Jumoke found herself struggling to adapt to the pressures of building a new life in a new world where she was surrounded by the unfamiliar and further isolated by the pandemic. That’s when her depression overwhelmed her. This is Jumoke’s story of breaking through the stigma and finding help and healing.
