Comment to the Bureau of Justice Statistics in support of efforts to collect information through the tool, “Capital Punishment Report of Inmates Under Sentence of Death,” and recommending the tool collect information on mental health treatment and diagnosis to document the disproportionate use of capital punishment toward people with serious mental illness.
