NAMI and Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns roughly 190 TV stations nationwide, have announced a partnership called “Sinclair Cares: Mental Health Support + Hope,” which begins today and runs throughout the month of March.
The partnership includes customized public service announcements directing viewers to NAMI state organizations and local affiliates, as well as mental health messages and news stories, with a special focus on young adults.
In addition, NAMI chief medical officer Ken Duckworth, M.D., will participate in interviews with several stations, culminating in a network-wide “town hall” broadcast that will air March 25 and 26 on select Sinclair stations.
