NAMI’s Dr. Ken Duckworth named to Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives

NAMI is proud to share that Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ken Duckworth was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives of 2023. All the honorees have proven to have a strong foundation of caring for patients and are regarded as leading the way for better health care through innovative ideas, executive responsibility and strong leadership. From 150 finalists, Modern Healthcare compiled the 50 honorees based on readers’ votes and input from senior editors.

In 2022, Dr. Duckworth authored NAMI’s first book, “You Are Not Alone: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Mental Health,” which coalesces his expertise as a leading psychiatrist and empathy gained by growing up with a family member affected by mental illness. The book features the wisdom of real people sharing authentic stories of their mental health journeys. He also hosts a podcast, You Are Not Alone: Voices of Recovery, based on interviews conducted for the book showcasing in-depth perspectives from people’s personal experiences.

Dr. Duckworth, who joined NAMI in 2003, has continually focused on the importance of lived expertise and including patients and families in all aspects of the treatment process to achieve the best outcomes for people living with mental health conditions.
