Meet Saanvi Arora (she/her), a 19-year-old from Berkeley, CA, pursuing undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Public Policy, and Legal Studies at UC Berkeley. With a passion for mental health advocacy, she plans to use her academic pursuits and her lived experience of struggling to understand her mental health while navigating the complex barriers that deter individuals with intersecting needs from seeking support to guide her work with NAMI Next Gen. She is committed to fostering dialogue and dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health in a holistic manner that prioritizes community-based education and care beyond emergency intervention. Saanvi is also active in policymaking and healthcare space. In her free time, she enjoys long walks and absolutely loves ice cream!
