Meet Lois Williams (they/them), a 23-year-old hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia, currently working as a housing navigator for unhoused queer youth in San Francisco.  They’re excited to bring their studies at Stanford in Human Biology and child and adolescent psychological development with their experience in living with complex trauma, chronic suicidality, and disability to NAMI Next Gen this year.  They are passionate about dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health following their experience dealing with ableism in hospitals, inpatient centers, and schools. Lois enjoys writing about the intersections of colonialism, queerness, and psychological well-being, as well as serving as an advocate for child liberation and trauma-informed education. In their free time, Lois plays the guitar and listens to post-hardcore music.
